reflection on Google practicale project

I enjoed doing this project. It was fun and in the same a great learning experience. after google tools presentation, i learned alot abot google tools and I started to use some of the tools. However, after doing google site which is a record of how i use Google tools, I learned even more about google tools. This project thought me how to create sites which i didnt know before. This project made me learn about other google tools that didnt use or even though of using them. after finishing my site irealized that every tool is very important and so much helpful. This project even thoght me to read the instruction well before doing anything, because when i fist started to use google sites i didnt read anything i just fill in the blanks and ticked some boxes. but when i finshed writing about every tool, i found out that i cant change the main settings after chosing it for the first time( like the basic format or the theame). So, i had to re do it agian. I craeted a nother site and copied all the pages from the last site, but still i did a miskate. I didnt write my name in the "site name" correctly. so redid my aite for the third time. but after finishing my site fatma told me i can change anything from the option button, so this project thought me another thing which is asking for help and look properly before statring anythg

In the site i wrote about how I use evy toll in my life with screen shoots. My favourite tools are: iGoogle, Google calender, Google earthblog and Google desktop. After enjoying creating this site, iam thinking of putting more stuff about me and wat i like or creating a new site to be my personal site. but not now ofcourse in the holidays maybe.

In addition, After writing in blog, i found out that i love to reflact and write blogs. I realy enjoyed it. In the begening, i hated the idea of me writing blogs every week, but after the third one i realized that iam enjoying it. i learned about inserting pictures, vidios and adding theame from the net. during this period i just managed to write 1 blog each week because of lack of the time, but will continue in writing the blogs. i loved the blog because of number of reasons. one is, blog is like a diary to store events so that i can remember good moments in the future. secound is, when i write i blogs, i express more easily than talking to some1 and when i read it myself i realize many things thats i was not aware of. third is, blog realy helps me to know more about my followers and freind. about wat they like, their interests and by reading their blogs and their comments on my blogs i realy know myslf more.

Finaly, i know how this project was helpful, but still i wanted mr.tridip to teach us more than we do peer teaching. The reason for that is, i love the why he talks. he explains the leasoons as he is chatting with me. In addition, i love his way of doing things. He is more flexible than other teachers. for example: no specific critiria for projects like other students which gives me freedom in doing the projct my way, long feedback in the end of each project or presentation ( tells me my streanghs and my weakneses).

I wish him a good life and i hope he teaches me in the future. mr. tridip is one of the incredble teachers that i have whom i will never forget. Thnx sir....

My cousin Alia's wedding

As always this week was also too busy week for me. i had marketing exam, role play and company profile presentation. In addition, my cousin's wedding on friday. On thursday after finishing college work, i went back home @ 6pm. i went beauty saloon to do hinna. i finished @ 9:30. then, i went to pick my dress for the designer. i was too tired i didnt even checked if it is ok and fit. I just came back home and slept.

the next day, @ 3 pm i went to get my makeup and my hair done. but i waited till 5:30 because it was too crowded and i finished @ 8pm. I wore my dress but it was too tide :( (my fault i didnt check the size before taking it). the whole wedding i wasnt abble to sit. i had so much fun.

DWC Bazaaar

Last week was Bazaar week, which i was waiting for. Because of my busy schedual i wasnt able to se my school freinds which are now in science, medical imaging, so i thought all Bazaar days i will be with them. I missed them alot, love you sheikho, nawalo, ghadoor and alyo.....but unfortunatly, our class had to work in th bazaar bank for 6 hours , working in bazaar is so much fun, but i wanted to see my freinds. when i heard that i got angry, because i want to have fun with my school freinds and i complaint to mr. philip and he asked me to work for 3 hours, so i agreed.
First day, was awful bcoz of the dust and sun. it was very difficult for me, shiro and saro to serve the customers. papers were flaying away, the booth was shaking and even we were almost flying with the papers. but thank god the weather became better in the eveninig. in the evening, i was going so many places. i sat with saro in her booth for few time and when she become busy i sit with my science freinds and when they are busy i sat with my bus freinds. I sang and clapped with girls of diploma who were next to saro's bank + i ride the cycle.i lost 2kgs maybe because of walking :p.
secound day was amazing, the weather was amazing. i was in the bank with siro. me and shiro enjoyed that day alot. we put songs and talked alot. also, we had alot of customers that day. that day i had fun as always.
the third day, was so much fun too. after finishing my shift, i did so many things. i ride the cycle again, ate alot + bought many things. new thing that i did that day was there was a emarati wedding party infront of the library, so i wwent with my bus freinds ( foundation students) there and we sang and i had so much fun there. after the bazaar finished, i left the college and went to albustan centre to receive my sister's dress because we have my cousin's wedding next friday. we waited for about an hour, because they couldint find the dress. i got angry and left. then, me and my sister went to my uncle's house. there was 'mehendi" "lelat hinna" of my cousin. I reached ther house @ 11:30 myabe, but still we had so much fun.

blast in Eid break :p

Thursday, first day of the holiday, whole day was just shopping till 12 am... i felt like my legs going to break. i bought everthing that day because i couldnt earlier because of the college work :(. Howevre the first day of eid was great, i eat alot of sweets, collecting money and had so much fun in my uncle's house. but in the evening, i was forced to go to my sister's inlaw's house, it was so boaring i was going to fall in sleep. but @ night we had dinner @ Chilis and after that we watched an indian movie called "De dhana Dhan" I hated that movie, but the songs were amazing. then i reached home @ 3am.

Whole of second day i stayed @ home, i dont know why, but the following day was ful of fun. I was looking stunning in black with smoky eyes ( how beautiful iam lol). i went to my uncle's house again, the i went to mall of the emirates with my cousins. we played bowling, and ofcouse i won ( not because iam expert in bowling, it is beacuse the mashine was not working well ans giving me more than 3 chances for each time). my cousin got annoyed & because i won and shouted at the reception :p, but they just apologized and did nothing. after that we eat @ fridays, yummmmmy. that day was so fuuny beacuse little guys were chasing me and giving me their BB pin thinking me 15 yrs or 18 yrs. when i reached the car i was laughing on myself.

On tuesday, i went to the globle village. i was excited because it GV guys. i had so much fun. i was suggesting games to my cousind to play and i was holding their stuff ( because i dont play GV's games). beacause that day was family day, I saw many of our college's girls, they look so different outside of the college (ofcourse because they are with their families :p). i bought so many things + i eat so many thing.

On Wednesday, my only ant came from Dibba, I love love her soooooooooo much. My cousins came also. that day was full of my cousins, children, food and cars. we had plast that day. in the evening we went out for dinner, then we went to the beach and the road was full of cars and people having party because it was the national day. i wished if i could with them, everyone was busy in my family :(. My ant & my cousins stayed for 2days. the secound day afternoon, me and my cousins went city centre to watch twilight. I hate romantic movies but i went my cousins and my sister are under 18yrs and as iam the oldiest i had to go with them. however i enjoyed the movie. i loved 'jacobe" he is amazing handsome guy with stunning body.

and once again we went to the beach @ night And ate there. that day we stayed till 12:30 am.

Yesterday on friday they left :(. & our house became empty again. Today, slept till 1pm for the last time because tomoro i have to get up early for college.......GN

today was one of my longiest and full of stress day. After sleeping late yesterday i coudnt wake up 2day morning, I even thought to go to the college late, but I couldnt because i didnt practice for the presentation and it was NATIONAL DAY OF UAE. So i got up and dressed up. I wore uae flag's colour dress and this is my first time iam putting a red color lipstick.

My younger sister came with her freind to the college with me. When some of my class mates saw my sister they were shocked and didnt bleive that she is my sister, because she is white + tall+ thin and very quite and spoiled.
We started our presentation with the national anthem, because it is national day & we know that nobody celebrated because of the work load and to make the girls interested. I prepared well for the present, i even loved my topic. However, in the presentation i got i little tensed becaue because only ten mins was left for me and my part takes more than 10 mins. but i managed to finish my part in ten mins. We got good respond from the girls. they gave us good feedbak ( love my classmates)
after the presentation, me and my group went out to eat sth, we were starving. mr. tridip bougth kushari for us :). then we returned to the class to finish our peer teaching plan :(. After finishing it, @ 4pm I left for the college bus to get back home, but my sister was lost in the college Lol she is so slow looool. so the bus waited for her 20mins but she was still lost, so i had to get off the bus to find her. then me & my sister waited til 6pm for my uncle to pick us from the car.

and now iam writing this blog, & iam gone sleep now. GN

Dubai silicon Visit

today 24th Nov, our whole class went to Emirates Islamic Bank with ms.fahmida. Manager of retail banking and manager of marketing department wanted to see us regarding the EIB awerness campaign that our class did. the managers asked us questions and discussed with us about our opinin and we have learned. the meeting was quik and sweet. and that day me and my gruop stayed till 8 pm to do MIS project...:(

after the meeting, me, saro & nouf went to dubai silicon oasis for an interview with the finance department there. the place was beuatiful it was like iam entering a mall and not a company. the staff was very freindly and smiling. then, we waited for some time in the HR department because they said everyone is busy in finance department. and suddenly the HR depatment said the finance manager wants to see us for the interview. we were shocked because our questions were simple and silly, the question is not apopriat for a manager to ansewr( the interview was for english course). but we didnt have a choice. we were very afraid about wat the manager gona think of us ( finance students with silly quetions), to make my freinds calm down i jokinly said dont wory the manager will be an old indian guy, so its ok.....but when we entered the manager's cabine it was a young local guy, we were shocked to see him, because he was too young too be a finanme manager.

the manager was very freindly and welcoming. he was too kind because he was suddenly informed that some gurls are going to interveiw him+ he was tooo busy. he was answering our quetions + doing his work. I like the manager because he wa talking with us as he knows us and as we are chatting an not intervieng him.

ofter the interview, me saro and nouf went to festival to have lunch @ chilis. then as always, we had to return to the college because we had alot of things to do.

Airshow + parents meeting

Yesterday 18th Nov, I went to Duabi Air Show 2009. Many things happend this day. Shaiyom had an accident in the morning. It wasnt her fault, but still her car was damaged and she had to wait at the accident area for 30 mins and she was late for the college. However she and 9al70 managed to arrive before the bus leaving. Next, because my best freind saro had an interview @ 3 with Al Rostomani, she asked Mr. Tridip if she can drive by herself to the Airshow and surprisingly he agreed so i asked him if i can go with her and obviously he agreed :).
We (saro & Me in the car) were following the bus but @ the intersection we went to wrong direction, but in the end we managed to reach the right place yuppppi. the funny thing was that nobody felt or saw that we went to wrong direction :p.

when we parked the car @ dubai terminal 1, we sat in the college bus while waiting for the tour guide, but suddenly the bus moved but we remain silent because we (saro & me) thought that the bus driver will take us inside the airport because the cars are not allowed. but we were going out, when we were on the road saro asked mr.tridip wats happing? he replayed that the arrshow is in the other terminal and not this and we are going to terminal 2 O.0. Saro said that her car is in terminal 1, but she was clever :p she said its ok she will take taxi to terminal 1.

then we took the public bus to the airshow area, it was fun because this was my first time iam siting in the local transport :). but walking from the bus stop to the airshow for more than 10min in the hot weather wasnt fun :(. finally when we reached there they wanted our IDs for stupid security reasons. and once again saro didnt bring her ID >.<. ms nancy was toooo anoying she was interfering in everthing that we were doing, even when saro forot her ID she said leave her in the reception ( @ that time i was going to kil her), but shaiyoom asked her father fo solution and he sent his freind to give us a VIP ID. so finaly we could enter. then, we attended a workshop of a german defence company which is incharge of UAEs defence. I liked the topic but the presentation was tooooooo boaring + i was hungry. If they talked about there products how do they work ya3ni about there company, i may me interested... after that we had so much fun in the airshow. we saw the VIP planes, we even sat inside them. the most excitin part was when we went to see the UAE militry halicopter. it was black in color. corously i asked if i can sit in the halicoprt, mlitry officers said ofcourse. Me and shaiyom got excited and he said one by one so shaiyom went first, but it was my turn, many guys came to see so i said no i wil not. while we are chatting with the officers a philipono lady cam and asked if she can sit too, but the officer said: NOOOOOO, so she got angry and asked if it is not allowed why sahima sat, he said they are students :). when even went to eat in the organaizeers place ( shaiyoms father sent us the passes) it was so much fun :). & then we saw the planes show, it was 3ajeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeb. on the same day, me and saro karam had to present infront of the parents :(. we were too tired. many parants came that day. me & saro presented & abeer's sister ghadeer was answering the question, she was was amazing. i liked her. after all of that i reached home @ 10 pm, thats why i couldint write the blog..... this day was full of fun, action.

Interview with AMAN insurance company

On 5th Nov, me and group visited AMAN insurance company for an interview. It was a part of Marketing financial services course.
In the morning of that day @ 8 am, me and shiro borrowed a recorder from the library to recode the interview so it will easy for us to have all of the answers, but unfortunately it was useless bcoz didn’t work. Then, Shaiyoom picked us from the college and we went to her house bcoz our interview was @ 11am. Then, Salha came to shaiyooms’ house by her car and all of 4 of us sat in shaiyooms’ car and drive to AMAN. Sara came by herself to the company. The company was in the 1st floor of Gulf tower. We interviewed the deputy manager and manager of marketing department, they were very welcoming and very nice. Eventhough it was 2hrs interview they were patient and answered all of our Qs. Shaiyoom started the interview, then sara and the salha. But when shiro started to ask Mr.Rashid, the deputy manager asked me to asked before shiro, I was shocked and got little angry and I said that I have only few and fat Qs so I will ask in the end. But mr.rashid insist on me asking berofe shiro, at tis point I got very angry (but I didn’t show it ofcourse) and started to ask but I was just looking at the other manager :p and ignored mr.rashid.
After the interview finished, mr.rashid took us for the company tour and shiro took lots of pictures.

Later we went to dubai mall to have lunch. It was amazing, we realy enjoyed our time.

And after all these good stuff, we went back to the college for mr.philips’ class.

School Personal Finance Awareness Campaign – Reflection

Yesterda, on Wednesday 4th of November 2009 we visited Dubai National private school in Al Tawar. We arrived there at 8:30 and started our session at 9:00. We were supposed to meet with 30 students from grade 12, but we met only 17students due to exam conditions. One of the supervisors welcomed us and took us to her office while waiting for the students to finish their class. After about 7 minutes we met with the students in their class room. They looked friendly and little bit unsure about the purpose of our visit.

At first, we wanted to fix up the projector with Sara’s laptop before introducing our selves. Unfortunately, we faced some technological problems. We already had an extra copy of the presentation and the video on flash USB in case of emergency. After many tries to fix the projector it finally had been fixed. We started introducing ourselves and the purpose of our visit. Then, Shaima promoted DWC by giving them an idea about the facilities that we have for example, the Gym, the annual Bazaar activity, sports day and the library. Also we talked about some projects that we did like EIB campaign.

Furthermore, we talked about Al Reem account focusing on the features specially the "zero minimum balance for DWC students" feature. This promotion was done by distributing the book markers from the EIB campaign. After that, Sara played a short video to let them guess what our topic will be about. Most of the students enjoyed the video and guessed the topic. Later, Sara started presenting by going through the slides and the students looked interested.

Next, Salha came up to explain to the students how they can use a simple savings method if their parents didn’t agree to open a savings account for them. The idea was to give the students 6 envelops with a label on each envelop where the student writs the budget for the month, the expenses, the remaining amount, and “My goal for this month”. They all were happy to receive envelops and we mentioned the reason why we gave them only 6 envelops rather than giving each of them 12 envelops. The reason was to make them more interested in savings and boost their creativity as young people.

After all this, Shaikha distributed the feedback to the students and she was in charge to explain and solve any difficulty students might face and later she collected the feedback and give it to Shaima in order to analyze the results. What's more Shaikha was also recording the presentation on the video camera. Shirin was responsible for taking photos of students, presentation, group members and the school. At the end, Salha wrote her Email address on the board in case of any inquires students need regarding DWC or about what we presented.

Google project reflection

Google tool project was one of the interesting projects I had. The reason for that is it was a training based project which I never done I loved my topic "iGoogle". I enjoyed serching about it and I hdad fun working on it because I didnt ever thought of changing the google homepage form white pge with a search box to a colorful page . Somthing that I can call "this is my page girlz". In addition, I had so much fun tarining my classmates, tarining is better than presentations.

I also liked other girls training session. I learned a lot from them.I didn't know that Google is more than a search engine. Now I know how do Google make a lot of money :P. It really made my life easy life
